Case Study - iLoveBolly

iLoveBolly.com is a social network built around the Indian entertainment industry built on top of Drupal.

Besides being an information portal on entertainment (Movies, Songs, Celebrities, TV Serials, Advertisements, you name it) this website implements the social networking aspects of Drupal.

 This case study is intended to target both Drupal experts and newbies as a "What (more) can you do with Drupal?" session.

 

AGENDA: 

1. iLoveBolly Introduction : Aim, Audience, Scope.

2. Feature List to be Discussed :

* Brief Architecture : Some custom content types discussed, some views 

* News Aggregation - Introduction to aggregation in Drupal (modules that can be used), Demo of feeds being used on iLoveBolly, Multiple sources in multiple categories, multiple sources in one category 

* 3rd party Integration - Example of 3rd party integration (YouTube API), Working demo, Videos dynamically retrieved for song nodes on iLoveBolly, Plaxo, Tyrant Web Services.

* Fan Clubs using OG - Build it on top of existing modules, Introduction to OG, Concept of a fan club, Nodes associated with nodes ( fanclubs to movies/celebrities )

* SEO in Drupal - Pathauto, XML Sitemap, Nodewords (Metatags), Customization

* Upcoming Features : Autoclassification of news feeds

3. iLoveBolly's future path with Drupal.

GOALS: 
1. Provide the audience with an insight on what can be done with Drupal. 2. Discuss some challenging/interesting features on iLoveBolly.com.
